![]() ![]() Hey if that leak had of happened when i started cure it would have saved me a lot of work. Entity names and functionality are totally different. Originally posted by He||oween:Sourcecode needed for proper Bomb entity and it's events.īut i think Counter Strike Source leaked code of this entity will fit CS source code will not be compatible with cures code as the programming for cure was largely created from scratch (based on source sdk 2007/hl2dm and later ported to source 2013 when it came out) this is all before any leak occurred. Especially if we already do a great deal by allowing players to customize, tune, and mod our car in any way that they want, in any way that they see fit they just cannot own the car itself. Hoob loves his analogies, but the point of his analogy was that it doesn't make much sense to just randomly give a stranger access to our property just because we haven't touched it in a while. Because you won't need the Source Code to make new content for the game, and it's better to leave it up to Mods, that way the core of the game is left unchanged, so that modders can independently make the game the way that they want it to be, via mods and server scripts, instead of forcing the game itself to be changed for everyone, which not only breaks servers and forces them to update (which wouldn't be very good for server owners at all for a game that doesn't have a big playerbase), but also introduces features people may not even want, if the person with the Source Code takes it in a direction we don't approve of. If you don't have the ability to do any of this, then you definitely won't have the ability to make future content updates for CURE. You can join those servers right now, as we speak, because CURE supports this. I strongly recommend showing them support. We also have scripts for server owners who make their own entirely new systems for the game, like the POU servers, who create entirely new weapons, playermodels, maps, gamemodes, etc. You won't need the Source Code to make cool things for the game. Even entirely new features are possible to be added thanks to Hammer entities. Total conversions, custom campaigns, and full overhauls of the entire game itself are completely possible. Otherwise, we have made extensive tools allowing for players to deeply mod the game. Regardless, most people who ask for the developers to release the Source Code of a game don't actually know how to code, and don't actually understand at all how unlikely and improbable this is to do. Even if we released the Source Code, you wouldn't be able to update the game itself. I don't think you understand how serious of a problem it us for us to give Steam Developer Access to a random user on the Steam Forum. ![]() Game is almost dead anyway, you don't lose anything. Yes, you finished the game, but i'd would like it to get some community improvements. No offence but would you let a random hobo daily drive your classic Rolls Royce just because you rarely use it and it sits in a garage most of the time? Lol Engine's source code already got leaked, and i don't really understand comparing game's source code and a car. ![]() Originally posted by Hoobalugalar_X:What would you want to do with the source code? I mean just because we are finished development on this game doesn’t mean we want randomers messing around with it, potentially undoing our design choices, introducing glitches, crashes etc.īesides they would not only need the source code but access to my steam partner account to actually update the game. ![]()
